Q: What if I already have a ticket?
A: TraffiCare has just launched a new product in conjunction with existing plans called “RetroCare”.
This new service reaches out to help customers deal with existing warrants and tickets.
Stay tuned for new information coming to our website or contact us
with any questions or to request additional info.
Q: How long after I Sign up does my membership
take effect?
A: Your membership takes effect after payment has been posted. You
should call frequently to confirm. In most cases we’ll be able
to tell you your credit card payment went through while you’re
on the phone with us. Check payments take longer.
Q: What kinds of tickets are covered?
A: Hazardous moving violations only (speeding, red light, stop sign,
yield sign, etc.)
Q: Are there any tickets you don’t cover?
A: Yes. We don’t cover drivers license, insurance, state inspection,
state registration, cell phone violation, defective equipment (like
broken tail lights etc.), or parking tickets. Tickets deemed "reckless"
by law enforcement are not covered.
Q: What about fighting the ticket in court?
A: TraffiCare International LLC cannot offer any legal advice or
representation. Most of our members simply want the ticket paid
for (which is what the program was designed for). A small group
will attempt to fight the ticket in court. We will cover attorney’s
fees up to 100.00 only but will not cover court cost. If you do
go to court and lose, we will still pay the face value of the ticket.
Q: What about deferred adjudication?
A: If you file for deferred, chances are you’ll have to take
defensive driving. TraffiCare will also pay for your defensive driving
course as well as the ticket.
Q: How will I know that my ticket has been paid?
A: You’ll receive a “letter of fulfillment” from
TraffiCare after payment is submitted. You should also get a confirmation
from the courts that your payment has been received. Depending upon
how backlogged the courts are that could take some time. You should
follow up frequently with them.
Q: How long has this service been around?
A: The plan was drafted in 2001 with a slightly different model
in mind. After years of due diligence, it was made available to
the public in 2007.
Q: Tell me how the increased insurance premium works?
A: If your insurance premiums are increased as a result of a ticket
you received while under contract with TraffiCare, we pay the difference
for up to 12 months or the remaining terms on your agreement,
whichever is shorter. The check is sent directly to you.
Q: Do you provide service for corporate accounts?
A: Yes, we cover corporate accounts. Please contact one of our sales representatives for details.
